MinuteFlip Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 August 2026
MinuteFlip is a Chrome extension that shows you what a watch listing on eBay
has actually been selling for. This policy explains exactly what it does and
does not collect. Everything below is verifiable against the extension’s
manifest.json and its source.
The short version
- We do not collect your browsing history.
- We do not track you across websites.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
- We do not use advertising or analytics trackers of any kind.
- The extension runs on eBay pages only, and nowhere else.
- We add no affiliate tags to eBay links and take no commission on anything you buy. Subscriptions are our only revenue.
What the extension can access
MinuteFlip requests exactly one Chrome permission: storage, which lets
it save your settings and results on your own computer.
It runs on two hosts and no others:
https://www.ebay.com/*: to read watch listings you are looking athttps://minuteflip.minuteflip-api.workers.dev/*: our own server
It has no access to any other website, to your browsing history, to your bookmarks, to your passwords, or to any other tab.
What we send to our server
When you check a listing, by scrolling past it, clicking its badge, or running a bulk search, we send our server:
- the listing’s title, asking price, eBay item number and photo URL
- a random device identifier we generate on install (not your name, not your eBay account, not your IP address as an identifier)
- if you have signed in, your email address
The server uses these to find completed eBay sales for the same watch and return an average. That is the entire purpose.
We do not receive your eBay login, your eBay account name, your purchase or bidding history, your payment details, your address, or any page you visit outside a watch listing.
What we store
On your computer (Chrome’s local storage): your scan results, your saved bulk-search results, your panel position and preferences. You can erase all of it at any time by removing the extension.
On our server: your device identifier, how many checks you have used, your plan, and the results of listings you have checked (so that re-checking something never costs you a second check). If you sign in, your email address.
If you choose to sign in, we send a one-time sign-in link to your email address. We use that address for one purpose: recognising your account so your subscription follows you to a new computer.
We do not send marketing email. Email is handled by Resend.
Payments
Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe’s own checkout page and never reach our servers or this extension. We receive only your subscription status and the email address you gave Stripe at checkout.
Third parties
Listing data is processed by:
- Google Gemini: reads a listing’s title and photo to identify the watch
- Cloudflare: hosts our server and database
- Stripe: payments
- Resend: sign-in email
- A third-party market-data provider: supplies completed eBay sale prices. It receives only a search phrase derived from a public listing title, and no information about you: no identifier, no email, no account, no IP.
They receive only what is needed to answer a price query. None of them receive your identity, and none are permitted to use the data for their own purposes.
How long we keep data
Scan results are kept so that re-checking a listing stays free, on every plan. Account records (your device identifier, usage counts, plan, and email address if you signed in) are kept for as long as your account is active. Email support@minuteflip.com and both are erased.
Security
All traffic between the extension, our server, and our providers is encrypted in transit with HTTPS/TLS. API keys are held in encrypted server-side storage, never in the extension, and our database is not publicly reachable.
Your choices
- Delete everything stored locally: remove the extension from Chrome.
- Delete your account and server-side data: email support@minuteflip.com and we will erase it.
- Cancel your subscription: any time, from the Account tab, via Stripe’s billing portal.
- If you are in the EEA or UK: you also have the rights under GDPR/UK GDPR to access, correct, erase, or port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Children
MinuteFlip is a tool for resellers and is not directed at anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and notify signed-in users by email.
